| Re: Did anybody here ever have a bump in the anal area?
Whoa, steady up here. Are you sure these lumps are not just piles (Hemorrhoids)?
If you get symptoms like pain, bleeding, lumps around the anus, and inside the anus, pain when having a bowel movement you could just be suffering from piles.
You need to make the correct diagnosis before worrying about it. Piles are generally blood vessels that get caught either outside the anal muscles or are slightly prolapsed (collapsed) a bit like a hernia. Sometimes you can push them back inside which relieves the pain and then apply cream to reduce them. The first step would be to try over the counter topical creams from the chemists. If after a few days to a week they have not gone, then maybe you need something stronger from the doctor. If you have a bad reoccurring case of this then the doctor may choose the reduce them in the surgery for you or if they are really bad you will require an operation.
