For the past few months I have been very sticky under the foreskin. It feels damp, almost, along with somewhat of a light musty odour. It's also worse after sex.
I went to the doctor to ask what this was all about, and his only response was "You're just getting old."
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I wash under the foreskin everyday with warm water, and I have tried applying creams such as Hydrocortisone (perscribed by my doc), Clotrimaderm, moisturizers, talcom powder, etc, but nothing seems to help.
It feels gross down there, and it's never happened before. I just woke up one day, and that's how it was .
I believe it's true when people get older certain odors about their bodies change. I've always heard that the musty odor you're speaking of is normal for a man with a foreskin. I'm circumsized so I can't tell you for sure, but what you've described does sound normal, especially after sex. I know after sex for me, the dampness and stickiness remains unless I completely wash it off right then. It probably won't go away, you'll just have to wash good every day. Another thing you may already know, the foreskin is supposed to keep the head of your penis moist, sensitive and supple.
what a numskull doctor !!! unless you're very young, thats such a stupid comment to make. if you ARE young, doctors can assume that you're not sexually active and this is a natural part of growing; i.e. its just smegma. if you're "old" in the sense not-underage, then its rediculous!
clean and dry under the foreskin, putting stuff there will just make matters worse. using soap will be a matter of choice, depending upon how your skin reacts; if it does, stop with the soap and just use water.
the foreskin inner surface is really sensitive and is prone to being irritated. talc and cremes aren't gonna help.
