| Question for the guys....
I am posting under this forum, thinking maybe someone has some insight as the situation is sort of complicated. It ultimately boils down to sexual health, so here goes!
Over the past 4 months, I have had 3 operations in an attempt to correct damage and scar tissue that was caused by a large kidney stone. A large piece of the stone lodged itself in my bladder and then scar tissue grew around it. My urologist basically did all he could do as far as trying to remove the stone (which he did) however the scar tissue has been more difficult to deal with. I have been depedent on a foley catheter to drain my bladder and it hasn't been fun. I was sent to a specialist who seems to think that the tissue can be dealt with but can't make any guarantees as to how long it will take things to heal correctly. In other words, this tube that I have come to know and love (or despise!) is going to have to remain in place for a while longer.
Now, for the sexual part of this! Before all of this happened, my wife and I were trying to have a baby. Obviously, that has been on hold but we really want to keep trying. We haven't discussed any of this with the doctors yet, but plan to at the next appointment. I was just wondering if anyone who has been dependent on a catheter has had issues with sex, masturbation etc....
I know this sounds weird but I appreciate any help or insight.
