In the last month or so every time I have sex or masturbate my penis gets very sore mostly around the area the head and foreskin meet. It doesnt really show any inormalities just redness. Sometimes it is in certain spots but the soreness comes on very quickly once it is hard. Nothing has changed as far as sex or otherwise so this has me confused.
Sounds to me like it might be a tight frenulum, if that's waht you mean by "the area the head and foreskin meet". See my stretching instructions, a sticky near the top of the Men's Health board. You could also have a yeast or fungal infection that needs a course of cream and/or tablets from a pharmacy to clear up before stretching. But the redness may also just be from the tightness.

Tight skin? How does that happen after 45 years of no problems? It also shouldnt be a friction issue because lubrication is always used and it gets sore quickly after less than a minute of stimulation.
Sorry I didn't understand that this was a new problem for a foreskin that has always worked before. I would strongly suspect a yeast or fungal infection because that sometimes tightens things up or makes the skin susceptable to tearing and soreness.
