Re: Male labido?

Hi Guys, I found this website (via google) as I am noticing a reduction in my labido and wanted to know if this was 'normal'. I was really pleased to read all the messages already sent in.

I am 40 and have been single for 3 years. I thought I had a very high labido as I wound mastibate 4-5 times a week.

I am now in a relationship with a woman and find that I'm not very interested in having sex with her. I don't know whether it's a lack of chemistry with her; or if it is because I am so used to getting turned on by my own internal fantasies (and images of women) - or perhaps I'm just not as interested in having sex with someone else as much as I used to.

I was interested to read other comments about the slow decline of male labido, and to be honest, this is a relief to me. I spent the years between 14 and 35 being very sexually frustrated and never got enough sex!

It seems that women get more horny as they get older and we loose it. Seems a shame. Oh well.

Re: Male labido?

As men age the testosterone levels drop. Testosterone is the sex drive hormone. It should be in the upper 1/4 of the range for most males. Estradiol E2 increases as men age. This becomes noticable in most males at 30+ when the sex drive decreases.

At age 50+ most males will have higher estradiol levels than women the same age.

Total testosterone levels can be increased & estradiol E2 levels can be decreased

I feel best when my T:E2 ratio is about 30
