I am recently circumcised, and was trying to put on a condom for the first time with my new unit...er... anyway, while it looks so easy when reading up instructions (or seeing a video of someone putting on on a cucumber or whatever), I'm finding that while trying to unroll it over the shaft, it kinda... unrolls in place, if that makes sense. So like, it unrolls, but the ring never makes it over the glans, leading to a partially-unrolled condom that isn't on me (and therefore doesn't seem to be salvageable).
1) Am I doing something wrong? What is it?
2) How do I know what the right size is, based on the ring size wrt the glans?
3) I was hoping to experiment with various sizes, but the packs didn't seem to have sizes (medium, large, etc.) on them, so I figured they were one size fits all, but I keep reading about this magnum business. Is there a secret coded 'size' on the box that I can't see or something?
It sounds like you may be trying to unwravel it the wrong way. Turn it over and try again. Maybe you should try to get hold of some of the easy-on condoms now available.
As for size, they expand hugely, if you have ever tried blowing one up or filling it with water you will know how huge they get.
For your size, buy a range of the and try them on at home! This is the best way to find out what suits you best.
It really wont hurt for you to get a few and examine them, try them, see how they are rolled, how they unravel, how they look and feel etc so that you know how they work.
If you have trouble putting on the condom, try unrolling it with just your fingers only, about 1". Then grab it with the fingers on each hand and stretch it wide so that it slip on past the gland easily and then unwrap it the rest of the way. Piece of cake, just don't let the condom slip and "snap"!
There are also custom fit condoms. Do a search for them.
Haha I was thinking of trying it like that, and had the same thought re: the snapping . I will give that a shot too =). But doesn't that take away your ability to pinch the tip and get the air out?
