| Fishy smelling semen
I am a female and I have been dating my boyfriend for about 3 months now. The first few times we had intercourse, everything seemed perfectly normal, and then we started noticing a very strong, fishy smell, which needless to say was incredibly embarassing. I assumed it was me and went to the doctor immediately, thinking I had bacterial vaginosis. My results came back totally normal, meaning I did not have bacterial vaginosis, or a yeast infection, or seemingly anything at all. So, I can only assume that the smell must be coming from my boyfriend, and it only seems to smell after he ejaculates. I honestly have never encountered this problem before and have no idea what could be causing it. And he doesn't seem too inclined to do anything about it. I guess I also feel confused because neither one of us had been with another person for at least 8 months prior to meeting each other. Is it possible that he's been carrying an infection for that length of time and it went unnoticed? What could it possibly be and how urgent is it that he see a doctor? It might not seem like a big deal to someone else, but the smell is really beginning to affect my desire to have intercourse...
