ED at Young Age - Any thoughts?
Otherwise normal, healthy active 155 lb. 26-year old male. I had problems with ED back when I was 24. Doctor conducted bloodwork, total testosterone was 321 (norm 241-827).
He told me I was "normal", and that I was suffering from performance anxiety, as I still achieved nocturnal erections and masturbated with no problems. He prescribed me Viagra to get over my issues until I functioned correctly without it. To some extent, this worked as Viagra would usually keep me good for 3-4 days when sexually active.
This past September, without Viagra, I was hung-over one day and masturbated seven or eight times. A couple of days later, my penis was cold and I could no longer achieve full erections. I would give my penis a break for a couple of weeks, but there would be no improvement. Gradually, over time, my penis felt less and less sensations until there was some numbness. Complete loss of nocturnal/spontaneous erections.
Fearing nerve damage of some sort, doctors have said it was impossible to damage your penis from over-masturbation. So, having experienced extreme anxiety over the issue, I had a number of tests conducted. The results of these tests have been:
Penile Doppler: normal
Nerve Conduction Tests: normal
MRI: generally normal (small herniations)
Blood work: low T - this time it was 278 (norm 241-827)
So, my question is, could my low T (particularly for my age) be causing my ED/numbness? Or could my urethra/prostate be damaged (I had pain in my glans during the doppler test) in some way?
*Note: I had urethritis last July/August and took dioxycycline for a few weeks if that's relevant.
