I thought it would be good to ask you men this question. My hubby is almost 50 & is in good health except for having been diagnoses with HBP about 4 months ago. He is on 20 mg of Lisinopril right now. He just increased his dose from 10 mg to 20 mg about a week ago. He has been on 20 mg of Paxil for anxiety for about 6 years. When he first started taking this, he couldn't maintain an erection. In the past few months, before even going on the BP medicine, we will make love & he can't ejaculate. Everything else works fine but he just can't get the job finished. No matter what I do to help him, he just can't. He says it's not a big deal to him but it is to me. It is making me feel inadequate. We go to the same doctor & I asked him if he would call her to see if it could be the medicines that he's on. He said that he wouldn't call her. I asked if I could call her & he said, "No. Just wait for a bit. It will probably get better." Have any of you had this happen & can you remember what was going on in your life at the time?

why are you feeling inadequate when it's the drug side effects causing the problems? both hypertension and anti depressants are known to cause sexual problems. ask the doctor to try a different drug, some have less side effects than others. better yet get off them. losing weight and exercising can drop blood pressure back to the normal range.

its the drugs that are causing the problem. Some guys on the BP meds have to take viagra to have sex. As long has its not bothering him your hsouldn't let it bother you. (you pressuring him abou tit will not help)

We read about a condition called retrograde ejaculation & now we understand what's going on. Thanks for your posts.
