Enhanced Orgasm

I'm a recovered Meth Addict (5 years now). But i remember the orgasm when I was high used to last like 5x longer than a normal orgasm. Not only that but it was very intense. Does anyone know what in that drug caused this? I would never go back to that stupid drug (almost ruined my life, and would of if i hadn't come away from it) but am interested whatever it was that caused this. I'm hopeing someone here can tell me more about it or where to look.

Thanks

Happy holidays

Justin,
Many congrats on breaking the habit.

I believe the culprit is dopamine. Pretty much anything having to do with either orgasm or a man's ability to reduce his refractory period can be traced to dopamine.

Speaking from experience, please keep in mind that it is extremely easy to trade one addiction for another, especially if one has a family history of addiction or obsessive/compulsive behavior.

Be that as it may, IMO, the best way to enhance orgasm is to take your time, learn to edge, do Kegel exercises and have sex with someone you truly love.

Re: Enhanced Orgasm

Is dopamine a prescription drug? If so, what is it used for. Or is it over the counter. I'm thinking with your warning of not replacing one drug with another, that its probably a prescription drug.

Dopamine is what our own bodies produce. When you took the meth it increased the production that enabled you to go longer without an orgasm and then repeat it without the refractory period.

I have never taken it nor do I ever intend to do so but I have heard that your experience is quite common. Although I am sure that every human being would prefer a longer orgasm and more of them, what I was referring to is that on Meth you may have also became sexually addicted as well. In fact, it seems that there is a long adjustment period to get use to "normal" sex again after having experienced it on Meth.

Although dopamine is a prescription drug, it is prescribed for Parkinson's disease in conjunction with other drugs to control the exaggerated movements. There are also other drugs whose method of action work to increased dopamine's effects. These are also used for Parkinson's.

There exist medical studies that are trying to create a similar drug for men to eliminate the refractory period but I haven't seen too much on it lately and I doubt such a drug would be prescribed without an actual medical condition. The only alternatives are the current ED drugs. I have heard that Viagra delays a man's orgasm and that Cialis allows for a shorter refractory period. There is no current drug that will "enhance" orgasm. I suspect that what you experienced was euphoria from the hormones release during orgasm. When you say it lasted 5x longer, can you say more? Specifically, are you talking about the contractions just prior to ejaculation, the ejaculation, or both? Typically, we are talking about anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds. Five times that would be a minute to a minute and a half!

There are also some OTC herbs and such that have anecdotal testimonies for orgasm enhancement but from what I have seen, either they are scams or require "cycling" because your body gets use to them and the effects wear off. Such is the Vitex that I have talked about on other threads here. It affects dopamine but I only had like a 2-3 day "super effect" from it and even though I cycle it, that first big effect that gave me more "response" than I had during puberty has, sadly, not come back. I was literally a walking erection 24 hours a day and my semen production increased thereby increasing my orgasm. But like I say, although it still seems to provide some effect, it is not at all like what I had when first taking it or like what you experienced on Meth. I have also heard that about the dopamine drugs. IOW, they are short-lived.

I still stick by what I said earlier. If you learn to prolong your love-making (either with a partner or to yourself!), not attempt to rush to orgasm, tease yourself on the edge, practice Kegel exercise to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, engage in regular aerobic and strengthening exercise, eat well, stay hydrated and, limit your sex to someone with whom you truly love, you will have longer, more satisfying orgasms and more of them.

Re: Enhanced Orgasm

Great reply, thank you, much appreciated.

I did some more research and someone is saying there is a drug that causes multiple orgasms for men. The drug is called Cabergoline sold under generic name Dostinex. I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but it sound pretty damn good. LOL What i experienced maybe was exagerated by saying 10x long, probably more down the lines of the 20 to 30 seconds you said. you nailed it on the head. The experience was like an extended pro longed orgasm. If i remember the contractions (not sure if thats what they're called) happened but nothing came out, or very little. then more contractions and it was just like when you orgasm but kept occuring. Very pleasurable. I'm a little confused now, cause multiple orgasms sound like what i was experiencing, but what you have described sounds like it more. Maybe same thing?? Do you know about these drugs i mentioned? I wonder if they increase your dopamine?

Yes, Dostinex is the brand name for Cabergoline. It is for Parkinson's patients. I believe it is primarily used to limit excess prolactin that is responsible for breast milk production. Those are the only 2 "legitimate" reasons for a doctor prescribing this drug for a man. I think the side effects can be real nasty.

Ironically, there are studies that indicate an actual *decrease* in semen when taking this drug. I would think that any decrease would lessen your ejaculatory pleasure.

I am not sure I understand your question "Maybe same thing." An orgasm is comprised of contractions that some men describe as "pumping," contractions of your prostate gland as well as your 2 seminal vesicles and 2 vas deferens. It is when that pumping reaches a certain intensity, when the ejaculatory bulb filled from both ejaculatory ducts sends a signal to your brain to open the external urethral valve and your ejaculation begins. The contractions at the base of your penis join in with the other contractions intensifying your orgasm and producing that fantastic release we feel during ejaculation.

There is some disagreement as to the true meaning of multiple orgasm in men. Some say it is the repeated occurring of the contractions, they occur and then subside and then occur again and subside again, several times in succession all within the same erection. IOW, you do not go flaccid between each succession of contractions.

On the other hand, some say that a true male multiple orgasm consists of *both* the contractions prior to and *during* ejaculation and you only have a multiple orgasm when you ejaculate more than once, again without going flaccid.

Still, there are others that say going flaccid is not an indicator and a multiple orgasm is simply a man's ability to have full on ejaculatory orgasms several times, whether or not his penis goes flaccid in between.

So, it really all depends on your definition.

Your description of where some semen "escapes" and contractions continue seems to fit more of what is called "edging" that I talked about. This is also called multiple orgasms. The full on penis contractions don't fully "kick in" so to speak so your don't spurt but yet some semen comes out. This is actually about the best that a man can do but it ordinarily takes a great deal of patience and practice. You theoretically can stay "in this zone" indefinitely. However you would be a much better man than I if you can. Two or three of those makes me want to ejaculate *big time* and it usually does. Look out!
