About two days ago I started getting an itchy foreskin. Just today Ive noticed small cuts or rips or something on the foreskin. Also, I have fond it painful and slightly difficult to pull the foreskin back.
I am 17 years old,and have been having sex since I was 15, always protected and with the same partner. Any ideas whats wrong and how to fix it?
These could be symptoms of a yeast infection, there are over the counter medicines that you should both take and abstain from sex until you are clear of this and finished the treatment.
It could also just be that the skin is overly dry, perhaps due to contact with soap, or a different soap powder being used for washing your clothes? Try applying a good spodge of any hand type lotion all over the foreskin. See if this helps.
At the moment, the cuts or rips are fading, and from other threads on this board it appears I may have phimosis. As such, stretching does appear to be helping. I am washing my foreskin twice daily to make sure there is no smegma build up, and the itching has been fading.
You have a yeast infection. You, and any partner, need to be treated, or it will just continue to be passed back and forth. Any stretching will just cause more scarring, and more phimosis, until the underlying yeast infection is taken care of.
this is what im going through. skin is dry as hell. I used neosporin on the rips on my foreskin and theyre usually gone the next day. what OTC mediciine should I purchase to rid this yeat infection? where should I apply it? on the head of the penis? onn the foreskin? let me know A.S.A.P
Canestan or something similar. There are lots of brands designed for women's genitals and safe for males too. Ask the pharmacist for an antifungal, antiyeast cream. You can say it's for you and your girlfriend.
I went to the doctor, got some anti-fungal cream for the yeast infection (caused by anti biotics).
However after nearly two months I still havent got rid of the infection. I apply the cream twice daily as directed, and wash and change underwear daily to make sure I dont reinfect myself. However I just cant get rid of the infection, leading me to believe there is something else there causing the problem. Any ideas/advice?
The doctor I saw was filling in for my regular doctor, but she took a swab so hopefully the results will have come back from that at least. Ill have to go back to the doctors next friday, I have a hernia operation in 3 days.
Be thankful you are in a country that does not suggest circumcision as a first option for any foreskin problem. Have them check for diabetes too, as this can cause foreskin problems.
