Unable to Ejaculate

I need some idea as to where to start to solve this strange issue.

I don't have much trouble getting an erection and the erections I get are usually pretty solid, but during sexual activity I often lose my erection and when I am able to sustain it, I have trouble climaxing. I just seem to have lost a significant amount of my sensitivity.

Is this just part of the aging process and are my days of mind-blowing orgasms over--at 39?

(I visited an endocrinologist a couple of months ago and found out that my testosterone level is well within the normal range. My FSH was off the charts which I figure just means that I'm infertile--no big deal as far as I'm concerned.)

Am I just old?

Re: Unable to Ejaculate

Never believe that you're getting old that's why you're having this problem. LOL!

My suggestion is check the thread, "Can porn desensitize? http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=581650" Check it out, maybe it can answer your question. I have exact problem like yours and I believe it's due to desensitization.

Hi!
As far as I am concerned, there is certainly no one that is too old for an ejaculation. You might just be losing that creativity when it comes to imagining things that would make you ejaculate. It is partly physical and mostly mental that can cause you to have the best ejaculation ever.

I agree w/ Vanguard... you may have a desensitization issue- From what I have read. 39 is not old!! I mean if you were like 75 or 80 then maybe!

I'm not to sure about the ''desensitization'' I guess it could effect the ejaculating, but it could be more mental than anything, if you can ejaculate while masterbating, then I don't think you have a desitive problem, I can ejauclate with no problems masterbating, but when me and my g/f have intercourse I can't or at least it takes me for ever it seems, I get a different feeling while I'm inside her vagia vs masterbating.
try different postions /angels to get that feel you need sometimes thats what I have to do.
btw 39 should be your highest sexual peek ever.

I know men who are in their 7th or 8th decade and can probably still break a coconut shell with their packages. And I'm just hoping to be like them and satisying my lady when I'm at that age.

Re: Unable to Ejaculate

You are certainly not old. I was having my best sex ever when I was in my late 30s and it did not decrease much until I hit 60. For me, it takes different amounts of time to ejaculate each time I have sex. Sometimes it happens quickly, like in 5 or 10 minutes and sometimes I never get there. When that happens the next time is usually great. I don't worry about it. If I did, then I bet I would have a lot more trouble.

The problem is that when we have a problem getting an erection, keeping an erection or fail to ejaculate then we worry about it and that worrying just makes the problem worse. I think that a younger guy, like you, is more likely to worry about a problem than an older guy like me. If you are afraid that you won't succeed then you can bet that you won't. Have you tried erotic fantasies during intercourse? If not, try that. I usually think about my wife when I have sex with her, but if I think I will have a problem finishing then I will fantasize about me having sex with someone hot or her having sex with a bunch of guys or some other erotic thought. She can't tell when I do that, although I tell her because she likes to hear about my fantasies.

I know that it is difficult to just stop worrying, but you have to try to find out if that is what is causing the problem to continue.
