taking care of a torn frenulum...

i have torn my frenulum during some intercourse and have been looking on theses forums, looking for ways to educate myself on this matter. it seems to me that it is an extremely common happening and that most of the time it "heals on its own". i was wondering if someone could give me steps i could take so that i could take care of it at home. as you know its quite embarrassing and im sure there are things i should do in addition to "stop using it"..

thanks for all your help, it will be much appreciated.

Re: taking care of a torn frenulum...

I was a slow learner. I just couldn't leave it alone. After a couple of months, I went to the doctor. He said he could take care of the problem, forever, with a simple circumcision.
I said, "no thanks", it being the most sensitive part of my body.
Once I stopped masturbation, sex, oral, etc., and gave it the total rest it needed, it healed in about a week or two...after three months or so of tearing.
Most likely, all it needs is quiet time. Good luck.

Re: taking care of a torn frenulum...

thanks for all of your help. "staying off of it" will be tough, but i DO NOT want this to happen again.

in addition to letting it rest... should i put some neosporin on it every night? or just let it rest and keep it clean?

if you want to, but it is unlikely to get infected, anyway.
