Acidic Semen

My wife and I have a problem in that once I ejaculate sex becomes painful (a burning sensation) for her and she can't carry on. So this limits us to only having sex once at any given time. Is it a problem with my semen being too acidic or a problem my wife might have.

Re: Acidic Semen

Are you joking? A semen allergy? Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Acidic Semen

So I thought I would chime in on this one...

I have the same darn thing happen to me with certain men. My last serious relationship I as well had a burning sensation after sex caused by my partner's semen. I went to the GYN and that is exactly what she told me...semen allergy. Condoms did help the situation, just be careful though because (from what I have heard and read) sometimes if women have semen allergies they are more likely to have condom allergies.

Luckily, in my current relationship this is not a problem...go figure!!

Re: Acidic Semen

Actually that makes sense as my wife gets the same burning sensation when we use a condom. Don't suppose there are any remedies for this allergy?
Thanks for replying.

Re: Acidic Semen

I'm just going to throw this out there. Don't know if it would work or not, but there is a benedryl liquid that you can drink, I'd put that into a syringe (no syringe? maybe a turkey baster? and insert the liquid prior to sex, it may calm the allergic reaction to the semen. I know it sounds a bit off the wall, but if this stuff can be taken by mouth, why not there too?

Might want to put a heavy towel underneath her body, I'm sure this stuff will ooze out.

Why not? It's full of sugar, that's why! This is a terrible idea!
Do not go putting liquids in the vagina that aren't specifically made for it unless you are hoping to give her a yeast infection - or worse.

Forester2000, semen allergies aren't that common but they do exist. Same with latex allergies. More common than latex allergies are reactions to the spermicide on some condoms so you should avoid them. If you are already using condoms w/o spermicide, look into non-latex condoms.

Re: Acidic Semen

Thanks for the idea but I wouldn't be waving a syringe or turkey baister anywhere near my wifes vagina unless I wanted it jammed in my ear (no I said ear ). Will try the non latex condoms and see how we get on.
