Age 30 Low Testosterone and Libido Please HELP

Hello,

I would like to share my sad story and look for help and success stories.
I'm 30 years old and for the last 5 years I feel a low sexual libido and bad performance. I never paid attention to it, as it was not so bad but I start noticing it declines rapidly. I checked with my doc did a test and my testosterone came to be at 250 level which is very low for my age.
I talked with urologist and he attributed to my lifestyle. Well for the last 10 years I have been smoking pot everyday and that certainly could be the cause I also smoke cigarettes for 14 years and have been drinking couple of times a week but good amounts. I also went through the stress of loosing my mother recently and that definitely made things worse for me. One other factor is that I started my sexual life early at the age of 12 and was really active until about 24 when I say really I mean I had sex almost every day from that time and I also have 2 kids and a wife now. I also never really worked out except playing soccer, basketball and swimming.
My doc told me to quit smoking pot and start working out which I started and doing it for the last month. So far I see no difference. It's really hard for me to get it up everytime we are with my wife, I even tried different women thinking that the reason could be my wife and the same thing. I'm really frustruated and freaked out, and hope that can get valuable advices form folks here. I also started to work out lift weights, and use ZINC which I heard increases the testosterone.
Please help !!!!

Your doctor is giving you good advice so heed him he will also check your blood on a regular basis and he may recommend taking Androgel or other things to improve your testostrone levels. And of of course you might want to be faithful to your wife and have undue stress for everyone.Follow your doctors advice and success is to follow

Re: Age 30 Low Testosterone and Libido Please HELP

Yes, your T level is very low. A total T level of 250 is that of a 90 year old man. Your lifestyle could very well help explain the level, but you also may just be low T.

If after stopping the drugs for a couple months, the T doesn't jump up considerably, then chances are it's not going to. Drugs suppress the pit gland, which regulates T production (tells your testes to make T). Once the drug has cleared your system and you are drug free for a while, all should return to normal. Working out will help, but it's not some huge game changer. Zinc may help a little, but won't make your levels move a large amount. The only way to really move the needle is to either do it naturally or via HRT (hormone replacement therapy).

If your T level doesn't improve after a couple of months, then I'd either go back to the Doc you saw, or see a new one. A person your age doesn't have to suffer from low T forever. You deserve good treatment. Low T can be very serious as it's far more than a sex hormone. T regulates your blood pressure, protects the entire cardiovascular system, promotes well being and wards off depression, and a host of other things. Your lack of performance sexually is most likely a T issue. You might also try Cialis....It's a wonder drug. It works for 36 hours and has few side effects.

If you search through these threads, you'll find several on low T from me...Lots of good information. Here is one that I had bookmarked:

Best of luck to you.

Re: Age 30 Low Testosterone and Libido Please HELP

Hello Executor,

Thank You very much for very valuable information.
Please help me understand, you mentioned "The only way to really move the needle is to either do it naturally or via HRT"
I really think that I'm too young to start myself on HRT and instead I should find an underline cause of what happened to me. Therefore I wanted to ask you
1) What is naturally ? I started to take bunch of supplements to increase it (Ashwaganda , Tribulus Terrestris), yet to see results, working out, zinc I do daily also want to add Horny Goat Weed and Tongkat Ali. Anything else that you could think of ?
2) bio identical hormone replacement therapy for low testosterone - do you know anything about this ?
3) Should I check my thyroid, can it be a cause of Low T ?

Thank You once again,
Regards,
Sean
