Re: Age 30 Low Testosterone and Libido Please HELP
Yes, your T level is very low. A total T level of 250 is that of a 90 year old man. Your lifestyle could very well help explain the level, but you also may just be low T.
If after stopping the drugs for a couple months, the T doesn't jump up considerably, then chances are it's not going to. Drugs suppress the pit gland, which regulates T production (tells your testes to make T). Once the drug has cleared your system and you are drug free for a while, all should return to normal. Working out will help, but it's not some huge game changer. Zinc may help a little, but won't make your levels move a large amount. The only way to really move the needle is to either do it naturally or via HRT (hormone replacement therapy).
If your T level doesn't improve after a couple of months, then I'd either go back to the Doc you saw, or see a new one. A person your age doesn't have to suffer from low T forever. You deserve good treatment. Low T can be very serious as it's far more than a sex hormone. T regulates your blood pressure, protects the entire cardiovascular system, promotes well being and wards off depression, and a host of other things. Your lack of performance sexually is most likely a T issue. You might also try Cialis....It's a wonder drug. It works for 36 hours and has few side effects.
If you search through these threads, you'll find several on low T from me...Lots of good information. Here is one that I had bookmarked:
Best of luck to you.
