My husband had a vasectomh. Five days later we had unprotected sex. I think i may have been ovulating at that time. What are the chances of getting pregnat?
No method of birth control is absolute, so even if it were 5 years later, there is still a risk no matter how small. Anyway it is very unlikely the vasectomy worked in just 5 days, so your pregnancy odds are probably as high as ever.
From what I've heard, even with a vasectomy there is still a chance that some of those little devils can sneak through. I'd have him talk with the doc a little bit more about the risks. Certainly since you've had this done it sounds like you were done in the baby department. I hope that you're not pregnant but if you are, I'm sure you'll welcome that little one into your home and your lives!
I had a vasectomy in March 01 and at the time my Dr. told me that I would have to ejaculate at least 25 to 30 times before the sperm would be out of my system(at least in the vas deferens). Whether or not this is fact, I would say, unless you have been real busy the last ficve days, your chances of being pregnant are pretty high. Hopefully you are not but if you are like my wife (her nickname is "fertile myrtle") she can be near sperm or hear the word and she is pregnant! Pray hard and except what the Good Lord gives you. Good luck!
ryno,
You can still ejaculate seminal fluid after a vasectomy. A vasectomy takes care of the sperm that would otherwise be present in the fluid. It does in no way affect the amount of fluid you produce during orgasm. I hope this answers your question!
