it seems that any time i'm in close contact with my girlfriend, i get an erection that stays until i move away from her. this "contact" isn't anything sexual. . .it can be a simple as hugging. anyone have a solution for this?? i've tried all the mental angles.
I'm 38 and have the same problem! You'd think a teenager would have this, but not someone my age, but there it is. Sometimes I would gladly exchange my easy arousal for a good bout of impotence! Things were alot different when I was taking zoloft, my sexual drive seemed alot more normal and it was great. But that's not really what zoloft is for and I would not recommend someone take it for that. But it did help for the time I was taking it.
Another opinion from an "older" guy. Although I've never thought of this as a "problem", I'm the same way when it comes to my wife. I've never thought it was bad thing though. It's not like this happens when I'm close to any woman, just her. It happened when I was dating other women before I met my wife also. I just looked at it as a part of life.
Spanner, explain to your wife what happens when you get close to her. My wife excepts the fact that when we are close,(heck in the same room together) I might, and usually do get hard. She looks at this as a compliment. We also know just because I'm "up" doesn't mean anything has to happen. I've given her alot of sensual massages and when she's done, we're done, if you follow me. Yeah it's a pain having him still up and ready to go, but I gave her what she wanted. And I've come to the point that I don't realy even think about it anymore. It's just me being me.
Don't get me wrong, I am not claming to have an affliction that is causing me untold pain or anything. I was just curious if others suffered likewise and how they coped with it.
I know what you mean Spanner, I don't have any pain problem either. One thing I forgot to mention earlier is another way I look at it. I've always been this way, especially around my wife, and if it stopped happening I'd think something was wrong. Then I would have a problem.
