Blue-green swelling of penis head

I came down with a rash on the top of the head of my penis about four months ago, but gradually that went away and as it did, the bottom of the head developed two bluish swellings where on one side now the coloring is gradually working it's way up. When pressure is applied to this area, the color is a very dark blue green. Two seperate medical professionals advised me that the problem was a male yeast infection, and provided me with an ointment to apply that was worthless, as have been several tubes of such creams that I have bought in the supermarket to deal with this yeast infection malady. I am concerned because I do not trust the doctors I went to, the creams failed, and I have no further medical benefits to provide me with further medical attention. Can anyone help me identify this problem and what to do about it? I have not had sexual contact for over eighteen months.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Blue-green swelling of penis head

The only thing I could think of due to the color you described is possibly a ruptured blood vessel. Any pain there?

Re: Blue-green swelling of penis head

No, there is no pain or discomfort at all and never has been, which is peculiar when I think about it.
I have thought of blood too, with the thought of blood poisoning as well. The doctors I went to, seemed too quick to jump to their conclusions of yeast infection in my opinion, considering how many things could possibly be wrong, yet I did have an HIV test while I was there that turned out to be negative, also showing no other anomolies to my blood chart, even my vitamin count is at sufficient levels.
Yet this thing is getting worse.

Re: Blue-green swelling of penis head

The rash might have been due to a yeast infection and a cream would have taken care of the problem in a couple of days but this discoloration seems very strange. Have you been to a urologist?

Re: Blue-green swelling of penis head

No, and I am not sure what urology is all about, but I can no longer afford medical care anyway.
I have determined that by the responses I've been given in this forum to my post, that it is generally agreed that there is more to this problem than a yeast infection. I guess that is what I came here to find out, and I want to thank you for your kindness and feedback. I am a veteran, maybe if I go to the VA they can help me.

Re: Blue-green swelling of penis head

A urologist is a specialist in the urinary tract system which would include the penis, bladder, testicles, etc and would be more familiar with the penis than a general practitioner. Hope you can get it looked at. Good Luck.
