I recently noticed i have no more erections in the morning. I am 28 years old, is this normal. I smoke 2 packs of cigs a day also, does this have anything to do with it.
I'm 38 and I still get morning erections. I would guess that the cigs have alot to do with it. I think smoking constricts your blood vessels. Constricted blood vessels means no/less blood to your penis therefore reduced erections. I might be wrong, so someone correct me.
For once, sdp, I agree with you. Smoking, drinking, drugs, etc can all effect your sexual ability. May not be the smoking that is your exact problem, but it can't be helping.
Could be the cigs, but could be something else like diabetes, heart disease, or hormone problems. Get thee to a doctor, and have a checkup. Get blood tests for testosterone, prolactin and sugar. Don't fool around cause it can be very serious.
I'd rather think that this is really nothing to worry about. Certainly it may be related to cigs but if there are no other indicators that are related to problems or health matters it could just be nothing. As we get older (although 28 really isn't that old!) the frequency of morning erections changes. I noticed that through my 30's and into my early 40's that the frequency changed alot. I still have them, and they are still is stiff as they used to be, I just don't have them as often. Might be good to talk with a doc, but just don't freak out over it and some of the feedback you've gotten.
Well, I think the operative wording here is: "I have NO more erections in the morning", not just less or infrequent. No morning erections at 28, when he had them before is definitely something to be concerned about. So I would take that as fairly serious, assuming you have no major physical or emotional upsets.

What's up with the posts saying if you don't have morning erections something could be very wrong. I have never read anything indicating that having or not having an erection in the morning is bad. I would think that if you are having problems having an erection when you NEED one is the time for concern.
You are generally correct. However, it is accepted that healthy normal males have several nocturnal erections and often in the morning as you wake.
When a male sees a doctor due to impotence, they may check for physical problems by having you wear a ringed apparatus around your penis while you sleep. If it doesn't registed any erections during the night, you are impotent due to physical reasons, not mental.
That is why the posts are concerned that he is not having morning erections. But you are right, he may be having them overnight just not in the morning any more and there is no problem. But it concerns everyone that they seem to have just suddenly stopped for steven99.
Sorry to hear your woes at 69 Morningwood drive.
I'm 36, and I wake up with thunder and rage in the tool box, can't imagine that not being there.
Hope you find out what's wrong. Maybe cutting back to a pack a day on the smokes, then back to half a pack the next week (just for two weeks) to see if that's the problem. Wouldn't hurt anything, surely.
