Hi there, I'm 16 years old and uncut, and when I'm in the shower I peel back the foreskin and wash the head of my penis... I peel it back as far as the head goes... but on the bottom of my head there is a bit of skin attached from the head to the foreskin which prevents me from peeling it back any further. I always thought that you'd peel the foreskin back to the base of the shaft, not just as far as the head... and also, during sex, isn't this little piece of skin going to break when the foreskin is being peeled back?
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.

That little piece of skin you refer to is actually called the Frenulum. No, it will not tear or break during sex, it's just part of the equipment. I'm uncut too, so I understand exactly what you're talking about. Glad to hear that you are practicing good hygiene and keeping that friend of yours good and clean. And yes, the foreskin can be completly retracted down the shaft. Your foreskin and frenulum can be stretched a bit so that this happens. Try taking warm soaking baths or showers and gently stretching the foreskin down the shaft. This may take a while and will require you to be patient but believe me....you'll want to do this before sex becomes part of your life. Just keep working it and eventually you'll be able to retract the foreskin down when erect and you'll basically look like some of your buddies who are cut. Once flaccid again, the skin returns to normal position! Hope this helps, I'm glad you found the board to get such information. Take care of the equipment, it's the only set you'll ever have!
Thanks a lot for the help... it's nice that people who are experienced are helping out people who aren't. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif">)
I'll take your advice with the warm bath bit. Thank you.
Glad to be able to help! I wish that there had been a board like this when I was your age....I had so many questions and felt that noone would even have the conversation with me. That's why I visit this board regularly, I don't want anyone to learn the way I had to....which was mostly the wrong info! Keep in touch!
Hey lollipop, first off, I just wanted to let you know that these boards are EXCELLENT. I use multiple boards at healthboards.com and i LOVE them, they help me SO much, I can't even explain.
Anyway, I too am uncut and during my 'first time' that part did tear during intercourse. It was a small thin cut all around that area under the head. Of course it healed within a week or so. However, Lance is right. He mentioned in another post about stretching the foreskin and I tried it and it is much more 'flexible' now. Also, if you're going to have sex, its always good to get lubed up anyway, just to be on the safe side.
Good too see people are actually getting somthing out of the boards. I agree with Lance! Remember the Frenulum on the underside of the glans of the penis also attaches the foreskin to the shaft of the penis. Along with warm water to gently stretch the frenulum it may be advisable to use a small amount of steroid cream (prescribed by your doctor) to slowly stretch the skin. It is a very common complaint of uncircumcised males to have cut ot torn their frenulum. It also has a vein running through it and therefore if it does split or break it may bleed. Don't be afraid but the cream will aid in stretching.
GOod luck
