Too hard erections, this happen to anyone else?

I'm 19. Sometimes I will wake up in the middle of the night to a painfully hard erection.

During these times it's 7" in lenght, 6" circumference, and rock hard. Normally this wouldn't sound bad, but it hurts like hell!
(Seriously, like dropping a chunk of cement on your foot.)

My usual lenght is around 6.5", so you can imagine how much stretching is going on. Usually I have to get up and walk around for about 10 minutes, take a ****, etc, before it goes away and I can get back to sleep.

Just out of curiousity, does this happen to anyone else?

My husband said to masturbate.

Sometimes when I come to bed late, that is when I get "nailed" so to speak because I wake him up right at that time and he's like, 'hey baby, wazzup?' I get lucky. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">

Seriously, this is normal. It's because you have woken up at the end of your REM sleep and that is when erections occur.

Our bodies are truly amazing, while we sleep, they go into "maintenance" mode and continue working on various body functions to ensure health and such. Nighttime erections are common and for me are usually much more stiff. There is nothing sexual going on, just increased bloodflow to ensure the health of your equipment. Nothing to worry about, do what you have to to get some relief. Often, if you grap at the base of your penis and squeeze,(not too tight!) you'll decrease the bloodflow and thus "lose" the erection. You might try that and see if it works!

I had this problem for a year. Two possibilities come to mind.

1. Taking steroids, DHEA or other muscle enhancers can cause that to happen. Have you taken any steroids lately?

2. If it just started then make a record of how often it happens. If it is increasing in frequency, then it can be a sign of pituitary problems or a tumor. Some times tumors develop that produce sex hormones. Excess testosterone, or DHEA will appear in your blood test.
