Re: Do you think you loose energy from ejaculation?
We certainly need and use hormones as part of the whole process of being a male and producing semen and all those other distinctly male characteristics. I don't know if we actually use any in the process of ejaculation. To answer your subject line..., sexual intercourse, masturbation and ejaculation require varying levels of energy. I have used them to deal with stress and just for pleasure. Sometimes we're so relaxed afterward that sleep or rest is a natural "next step." I have heard of atheletes that use masturbation to enhance energy later in the day....don't know if that is true or not. Hope some of this answered your question.
Re: Do you think you loose energy from ejaculation?
It is quite normal for males to loose a great deal of energy after sex whether it by themselves or with another person. It is not just because they want to sleep either! We use so much energy up especially from orgasm rather than the actual ejaculation that our bodies require time to produce more energy for later or to have more sex.
It is a normal "side effect" of sex/orgasm. As for hormones the male body constantly produces both Testosterone and Oestrogen although the latter in small quantities. Women also produce both but the latter in higher quantities and testosterone in low quanties.

You don't exactly lose testosterone, but levels can fall slightly after ejaculation. So basically, you wouldn't want to do this right before a gym workout or sporting event. The levels return to normal within an hour normally.

So you're saying we loose energy from orgasm? Do girls loose energy from orgasm too? How does orgasm use up energy?
Incidently, I learned a kewl trick to increase sexual energy from some tantra thing. (I don't know if it works for girls, but it works for guys). Rub your hands together really fast so they get warm. Then with your left hand rub 9 circles counter-clockwise in the space between your belly button and penis. Then with your right hand run 9 circles the other way to the right. You can rub your hands together and do it again. This seriously creates a lot of sexual energy (though I don't know if it keeps you from getting tired).

It's odd really, for most males, after they orgasm, they want to fall asleep. Girls on the other hand seem to just want to stay awake! I am not sure why they are like that but it is a hugely unexplored area!
