Hey, when my penis is not erect it is very small. Like 1 inch long. But when I get hard I am about 4.5-5 inches. I am only 16 is this normal? Do others have this problem?
At 16 you probably still have more time to grow, but limp size really varies from person to person. A guy with the same erect size as you make hang longer than you. My limp length also varies from day to day depending on the temperature etc... So don't worry about it.
I think that the flaccid size varies greatly from person to person. I know for me that I'm probably an inch flaccid on a good day, but erect I'm just a bit more than 5 inches. But guys who are larger flaccid don't always grow at the rate we do because they'd probably be too large if they did! All that said to say, don't worry about it....flaccid is only used to urinate. When your friend becomes erect is when it matters, cause that's when it's time to go to work!
Flaccid length and erect length vary from person to person as sdp and Lance2 have pointed out (sorry for the pun <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif">) I'm 2" flaccid and 6.5" erect.
Some days I'm 3-4 inches flacid, other days I experience shinkage (almost retraction). It's never the same for me, but cold, or just coming out of the swimming pool can be quite misleading, to say the least.

The thing I was worried about is I am going on a missions trip to mexico and I was worried that we might be taking showers together. However, I don't think we will be.
Hey Bradb2001, I wouldn't worry a thing about your trip to Mexico, or the size of your penis. I used to worry about the same thing until I started going to the gym and seeing other guys around the locker room. I used to think that I had a small dick, but then I realized I was about average. When I am flacid, it's about 3 inches, fully erect about 5.5 inches. Not one time did I see any guy that was "hung" any bigger than I! Don't worry about it!
