Impotence

My husband is 56 has nerve and spine damage due to several back injuries and 2 back surgeries, which has left him impotent. The strange thing is occassionally he wakes up with a full errection, without any provocation. He can't take viagera or yohimbie because of the side effects on his heart. Is there some other
herb or medication that can help.
Thanks

Re: Impotence

I know several men that have "heart problems" and they do fine on Viagra. Its more about what medications that they are on that is important. Go to the Viagra website and read their info.
Many Doctors do not really know much about Viagra and its use. Print out the info from the site and take it to the Doctor. If he does not want to discuss it or read the info or seems to not really care I would go to another Doctor to see what he/she said.
Also, another note on Viagra. They come in two doses.
100mg and 50mg. Most men that I know (old and young) use the 50mg or even split them in half.
As your hubby has injuries he might have to take the 100mg. On of the main side effects Viagra has is it lowers your blood pressure. So, if he already has low blood pressure a large dose would not be wise.
In any case talk to other docs and do some research on the web. This place has a Viagra board. I have not read it but there may be additional info there.
Good luck.

Re: Impotence

one other option is a penile implant the uses a valve to inflate the implant. You may want to do some research on that too.

That is strange, but I think great news. You can't get an erection if the nerves are damaged so that means his nerves must be working. He must have some other problem. Have you had his testosterone and thyroid levels checked? Perhaps he doesn't need viagra, perhaps he just needs a proper level of testosterone or thyroid. It is not unusual for a man his age to have low hormone levels, especially if he has heart problems which are often associated with low testosterone.

Re: Impotence

I have been using penile injections for about 5 years, since a stroke left me lacking normal erections.
Despite most men fearing pain, I can assure you that is not the case and the result, for us both, is great.
Go at it NOW
