I think you got a good old fashioned friction burn that just needs time to heal. Those things happen, especially when we aren't too lubricated or things are a bit tight (most likely with anal sex) Sure, when erect there is more blood there and that will highlight the dots more. I think you need to lay off the action for a few days and let things get back to normal or you'll keep irritating it more. There are some lotions you can use there, but often we react to them also. Just keep an eye on it for other issues!
Just sounds like a irritation, generally it could be balanitis, but it is more common in uncircumcised males. Are you circumcised or not, as this may of course change the opinion of what it is. But again generally balanits is more prevalant in uncircumcised males.
Just use warm water when your shower and clean the penis and dry thoroughly. If it continues to flare up, see your doctor and may need a couse of steroid cream to reduce the inflammation!

I suspect that the cause could have been lack of shower but don't know for sure. However, if you go camping like that again you might take some water in a container for the purpose of cleaning under the foreskin cause that really needs to happen frequently because of potential bacteria build up and such.

. will frequent washing (daily) make it a "sure thing" that it will not come back???

I only had like 1 symptom of it.....and the pictures I saw of Balanitis didnt look very much like what i had......oh well....meh...
No need to "deprive" yourself of oral sex, just keep the old boy clean....EVERYDAY you need to wash and clean it and you should have no problems. And in the future if you cover it with a condom you'll be much less prone to have ANY problems that could be pretty serious! So, keep it covered and keep it clean!
