Ok no one has answered your ? so here it goes. It is for a male to use during sports to hold everything in place and you can also buy a plastic thing to insert in the front called a cup to protect what you own down there. It is not intended for everyday use. I hope this was a real question as it seems there have been alot of kids just playing on here. If anyone else wants to add to this or explain it better....
