Post how to stop having wet dreams?

I know this sounds like a stupid question but i am really trying to stop having a wet dream at night. I am a 18 year old male and i dont masturbate (anymore) but every 2 weeks or so i have a wet dream and the sperm comes out. I have a problem with this and masturbating because i know for 100% fact that this is causing me to have acne and to stop myself from masturbating i try really hard not to look at anything that turns me on (on the tv or computer). Is there anyway to stop wet dreams????

There is no way to stop this, a wet dream is the bodies way of releasing where normally sex or masturbation would. I wondering how you know masturbating cause's you to breakout. IM my opinion I would say that statement is false. Maybe in your case its different I doubt it though.

Cool

Taking oestrogen - as in the "pill" that women use for contraception, would in adequate dosage, reduce both the acne break-outs and your "wet dreams". Unfortunately you would grow breasts (irreversible). There are other exotic medications that would also eliminate acne and wet dreams without causing breast growth - but have other even worse "side effects".

Other than that, if you don't want the wet dreams (which is amusing, because most guys treasure them), just masturbate and be happy.

And if you have a problem with acne, just go see a doctor - General Practitioner and if he is not keen, get a referral to a good skin specialist and get treatment.

Masturbation does not cause acne. Simple as that. Your diet however can be a trigger for acne along with other factors. See a doctor or a dermatologist to get your face cleared up, and enjoy your masturbation sessions or your wet dreams.

Bull, how long have you gone without masturbating? I stopped for an extended period of time in my early 20s. I discovered that after a few months I woke up with something sticky on my thigh. My body had emptied out the old semen... without any sexual feelings or fantasies.

I suggest you perservere. If you can really stop masturbating for a period of several months, you will find that eventually you'll stop having wet dreams so frequently. Especially if you don't fantasize about sex or do anything to "bring on" sexual feelings during the day.

If your only concern is acne, then it is probably the emotional or psychological component of your sexual feelings that is affecting your skin and not the physical release (wet dream or other ejaculation) itself.

if anything, perhaps the stress of not being able to masturbate and constantly being frustrated is aggravating your acne.

Acne is a skin condition. You don't get it from masturbating.

Bull69 is absolutely correct. Masturbation or ejactulation is caused by stimulation which triggers testosterone which causes inflamation of the skin and also acne. IT IS NOT A MYTH. The real rumor and myth is that it doesn't cause acne. I have the exact same problem as you man... I stopped masturbating and my acne got great until the wet dreams and then my face gets inflamed again. It is ridiculous and unfair. Keep it touch man, let me know what works. Ill tell you whats worked for me.... I use NO2 for weight lifting and I think that works, I also eat salad a lot more, including a lot of carrots for vitamin A. Plus I take Oil of Olay multivitamins which I think has helped me tremendously. Plus I wash my face three times a day now. The biggest thing that has helped my acne is by not eating salt anymore and avoiding IODINE at all costs. That has been the most beneficial to me. Forget about Retin-A and other medications that will tear your skin up. I am still recovering from Retin-A use for two solid years. And guess what, everythign I've learned about acne and everything I've found useful has come from HEALTHBOARDS.COM so keep searching your answer man. Later.

Re: how to stop having wet dreams?

Did the hair on your palms go away too?

Just remember that just because someone says it on a board it isn't the medical truth. You change your diet, take vitamins, keep your face clean. Yet you think if you did it a couple of times this week your face would break out? Stimulation doesn't trigger testosterone- if that were true most guys T level would be through the roof.

Sounds like Father Brown's Health class at St. Joe's High back in '62.
