Blood Blister from Ingrown Hair? - Sexual Health - Men Message Board

For about a week now, I've had a lump where my leg is attached. It's in the fold. It's about the size of my finger nail. It's purple and looks like it's filled with blood. I think it's just a blood blister from an ingrown hair I had there. But is there a chance it's something else? I'd try poping it but a) it hurts to even touch it, and b) it looks like there's a lot of blood there. It's not an STD because I am not sexually active (And haven't really been). This girl that I am seeing and I want to do stuff sexually but I don't want her finding that. Is there a chance it's not a blood blister and something worse? What should I do about it? I am waiting to see if it's going to go away (and I believe it is going away). It only hurts when I touch it also. Any suggestions?

Anti-bacterial cream. If that doesn't work, see a doctor.

It sounds like it could be a swollen lymph node. This would usually be a sign of infection. It will probably go away by itself. Or, it could be an ingrown hair. Check with your doctor if you're concerned.
