Question What is it?

How to start this one...
Back in early January, I experienced pain during urination. And because it was about 20-25 days after last sexual contact, I figured that this had something to do with it. I went in to the doctor to get tested and tests for Chlamydia, Ghonnarea, Testicular Cancer, UTI .... everything came back negative. In addition, I also had my parter tested. All her tests (with the exception of testicular caner of course) came back negative as well. Being that I am a relatively safe person when it comes to this kind of stuff I was baffled but just to be sure the doctor perscribed Zithromax for the chlamydia and a one time pill for ghonnarea. Everything was fine for about 2 weeks, and then about two weeks later, I was experiencing a similar pain again! Since the last time I had been tested, I had only had sexual contact with my monogomous parter who was tested and the contact was with a condom. The pain included very slight burning a few seconds after urinating, painful erections, aching around the base of the penis to the legs otherwise, and a very slight clear/light white discharge. I went into the doctor again, (different doctor) and was once again tested for all of these things. Once more, all the tests came back negative. He put me on a longer antibiotic and again, everything went away for about two weeks. This time I had absolutely no sexual contact. Then the exact same symptoms returned. Went back a 3rd time...and was tested for a prostate examination and he proposed this may be what it was. Well now here we are, late March and the symptoms are returning AGAIN. I am a safe person, I use condoms, only participate in monogmous relationships.... however this is extremely frightening and discouraging. I welcome any insight that people may have. Thank you for your time,

I'm not sure to be honest with you, if all tests came back negative I woudlnt lean towards an STD. To be safe you might wanna brake off sexual contact for awile and get another set of tests a month or two down the road . . . a doctor could give u a better idea of the time span for this that is needed . . .

i have a similiar issue . . . no discharge whatsoever, and the pain is just a constant stingign at the tip that hasnt gone away for about a week now . . . i dont think its sex related (or so both doctors i saw said) b/c my last sexual contact was over 10 months ago . . . but i got tested for everything and so far so good . . . so i'm confused .. . they all said they didnt think it was anything related to that anyway cuz my symtpoms dont really match anything . . . any ideas? can u bruise or pull a muscle in the penis maybe? or scratch the inside of the penis?

hope it all works out for ya, God Bless

Did you have sexual intercourse with a condom both times? If so, you might have, or be developing an allergy to latex condoms. You could try using non-latex condoms, i.e. polyurethane. I have never seen them in a store though, only online.

I have used them and they are much thinner (with just as much strength) than a latex condom. However, while people believe they are safe, they are still being tested by the FDA for STDs... so be careful. Right now, they are pretty much meant for monogamous partners as a contraceptive, not disease prevention.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I don't know what it is, I did use latex condoms both times, but I wouldn't think a reaction would worsen over time after use. And I've used them in the past without a problem. I thought that at first though, as well. I guess I just find it very strange that after two rounds of testing nothing came back positive, yet the symptoms keep returning. If it gets worse, I'll probably make a 4th (Ugh) dr's appt and see how that goes. Thanks for your responses.
