Question is there something wrong or just late?

hi again

i've been doing some thinking and came upon several confusing points in my life. you know how society, your parents, friends, etc, often say that boys from puberty up are always horny and are acting or thinking witht the wrong head. and they say that boys will be boys, and boys will always be chasing girls and getting into their pants. the usual stuff.

and i see this everywhere, with my friends, my relatives, everywhere. im 22 yrs old, i've never had the urge to covet females, nor chase after them, and do the usual stuff. im great friends with them, but i feel no big urging to go out with them, no major desire to sleep with them, etc.

im not gay, i know that for sure, i know im bi or have tendencies, but the same applies to both genders aswell. i'll be friends with em, have fun, be their confidants, etc. but no major outward form of sexual attraction.

so the question is: is there anything wrong with me? am i asexual? is what im going through normal? or am i just an extremely late bloomer? i often thought that maybe im testosteron deficient and that i may need some, but i do get aroused with normal stuff (porn, etc), so that may not be the problem. so what is it? im majorly conflicted with this.

any replies is appreciated.

Thumbs up

Dear Inq:

What ever you are, just know that you're fine. There are all different levels of sexual interest, all different shades of sexuality. As long as you aren't hurting anyone (kids, animals..haha) you're fine.

In life our hormonal surges fluctuate hourly, minutely, yearly.... You're in the mood more at some times than others. Some people are more sexually oriented than others, as well.

My exhusband was very bland about sex. It was okay sometimes but he wasn't into it often. My boyfriend after that was ALWAYS into it and drove me nuts. My current hubby is calmer than this and isn't about getting into my pants every chance he gets. (darn it!)

Some guys don't have any interest in the opposite sex, some only the opposite sex and every level of interest in between is out there. My current hubby is (according to him) 100% hetero, my exboyfriend was more "flexible"....

Just be true to what you want inside and listen to what makes you happy. Don't worry about being undersexed or oversexed, straight or gay. Just be happy.

If you really feel there's something wrong with your testosterone levels, that can be easily checked. Do yourself a favor and have it done to rule out any physical problems, then accept yourself as you are and hang out with others that feel the same way.

Hope that helped!

Missy

I'm with missy. Do what feels right -- sex is supposed to be fun and rewarding. Don't let a lack of leg-humping instincts get you down.
