Anyone who has had urethritis, NGU, chlamydia...can you please share what the symptoms were like?

Was there a discharge (what color)? How bad was the burning while peeing? Did the burning get worse throughout the day? How long did the infection take to clear? Were you ever given a definite diagnosis?

HI, I have had a weird burning sensation while urinating for a few years now. Sometimes it burns slightly, sometimes it doesnt--i think i may just be used to it. I noticed that if i hold it in for a long time, when i go the urine is clear & it rarely burns. I went to two dr's, & a urologist..urologist gave me some pills but they didnt work..he said i might have to come back so they can "have a look" Into the urethra, which he said hurts a bit...i have been delaying it for obvious reasons. i came up negative for gonorhea & clymidia...he said it might be urethritis...what else can i do? does that procedure hurt like hell?

No it shouldn't hurt like hell as they will use a numbing jell called Lidocaine Jelly when they do the cystoscopy. Put your fears aside and get this done if the doc feels you need it. Your health is too important not to get the proper tests done.

when you say procedure, do you mean a surgical-type procedure in the hospital? or is it a private,informal thing that the urologist can do right in the office.thanks
