akward wet dream question

I have had sexual dreams for as long as I can remember ie like 5 or 6 years old. Basically was the exact same sensation as wet dreams that would come later in life but without ejaculation. Its difficult to ask people but doing it subtly with a few friends I've definitely gathered that this is not normal. But what I don't know is how abnormal is it? Is there anyone out there who this happened to? Trying to figure a lot of stuff out and knowing this may help.

I am guessing you are in your teen years...
if you are talking about dreams where you masturbate with a group of friends then that is normal, many guys have dreams along the same line or thought. it's natural,

Wet dreams are a perfectly normal discharge of semen and they not only occur during a dream that's sexual but more commonly a non sexual dream.

I too have had sexual dreams as a child but I was severely sexually abused! Which raises the question are you dissociative like me? My shrink says it's not normal to develope sexual dreams as a child she said if a child can dream it so too can they fantasize sexually as a child. I used to masturbate at age 8 with full fantasies!

Your unawareness to answer your own question regarding what's normal for a child makes me believe you have dissociative amnesia or to the extreme Dissaciative Identity Disorder which is Multiple Personslity Dsorder!

I would seriously run this by your MD and maybe he will refer you to a phychologist or better yet psychiatrist. I don't use these words lightly nor do I use them to hurt you. Bluntly and frankly put you have simular symptoms that go with sexual abuse and blocking traumatic memories.

Kris (and others)!

Re: akward wet dream question

Usually you would not have sexual dreams before you understand what sex is. They would not materialize out of thin air. There must be some kind of source material.

While abuse is one possible explanation, it could also be you were exposed to other people having sex at a young age, either in person or via pornography.

You might have a more active imagination than the average person? If you enjoyed the first dreams, it's possible you craved more and your mind served up more for your entertainment.

In turn it established a pattern or routine which has persisted until today. This is not troublesome as long as it's enjoyable.

If you're not enjoying your dreams because they disgust you or make you unhappy deep down, you should probably seek psychological help. However, don't seek help if you're just worried you're abnormal because you have a sexually active mind. I think most guys would gladly trade their dull minds for yours

Re: akward wet dream question

In answer to this question from months ago, while it was technically "wet", I don't think that was like a "wet dream" in essence. You said it wasn't sexual, and I don't think it was either. I think it sounds like it was just a "nocturnal prostate contraction", which I've never heard of, but I wouldn't worry about it. You might have had an unusually developed prostate for your age or something, or maybe there was just unusual pressure on your prostate at the time that caused it.

To answer the more recent question, the rules are to post all new questions as new threads, but a very quick answer is probably sufficient, masturbating more usually prevents having sex dreams. (It's really as if the body is determined to emit semen whether you want it to or not.)
