I would just like to add to that, that the prostate isn't the only gland that produces the seminal fluid. The prostate only produces about 40% of the volume of semen. Most of the seminal fluid is produced by the seminal vessicles. But its the prostate fluid that gives semen that whitish color.
Basically, semen consists of many different ingredients, sperm just being one of them, and is produced by several different glands, and it all gets mixed together at the instant of ejaculation.
