I've been embarassed about this for a long time...all along the shaft (all the way around it too, they're everywhere on it!) I have these scars that are just like raised, flesh-colored bumps and I think they're from these blackhead type things I get there.

These blackhead things are bigger than the normal acne kind and when they're forming they look just like the old, scar ones do except they are little craters with the solid black/green thing in it. They do not hurt, except when I pop them (they do not go away unless I pop them). When I pop them the little black/green thing comes out. It is solid and is like a little ball of whatever it is. The ball thing is not soft, it is hard and solid, but is small (1/3 the size of a pea?).

I would not mind these if they went away after I popped them, or went away on their own, but the problem is the crater-like thing left behind never goes away. It just kind of flattens out and turns into a raised bump-scar. There are tons of these scars (must be 100-200 in all, and there are clusters than are so dense they look continuous) and are really embarassing. I've had people ask me if it's a disease.

They've been looked at (briefly) during routine physicals and I've been told they aren't too abnormal...

so my question here is

1-are these normal? and if so
2-is it normal that they leave permanent scars??
