I'm curious of what this "homeopathic treatment" is for your varicocele?
I had a large varicocele on my left testicle treated by surgery a few years ago, and from what I learned, there is no "cure" or permanent treatment for a varicocele other than surgery.
The most common treatment to relieve discomfort of a varicocele is to wear an athletic supporter (jock strap), but this is only a temporary discomfort treatment; the varicocele does not change.
Anyway, I had a semen analysis done before my varicocele surgery. The results came back normal, even with the large varicocele. I didn't have a follow-up test done after the surgery, since my results were already normal before it, and sperm counts would only increase further after the surgery.
You can ask your doctor for a semen analysis if you're curious - no harm in that. Insurance may not pay for the test if there's no medical reason to conduct it (curiosity isn't a valid medical reason

). But if you're willing to pay for it, there's nothing wrong with asking for a semen analysis.
I think you should try conceiving first, and if you don't have any success after 6-12 months or so, then have a sperm count/semen analysis done.
