Post porn & what it means

Hi, this is my first post. I nee some advice. I am married to a man I love dearly. We are apart right now because of his work.....he is overseas for about 3 months. Within a week of him leaving, he had signed up to an internet porn site and I found out because we have a shared email account. However, I was looking in his folder (where he had moved his password details) because I needed information from an old email sent to him (about business stuff). I was suprised and a bit hurt that he is paying a small fortune a month to access porn, yet he never said anything to me about it. He is big about honesty and not being sneaky, but this seems sneaky to me. I am probably paranoid, but I worry he is being sneakyin other ways too....like sleeping around or going to strip clubs. What can't I shake this feeling and why is the porn such a big deal to him?
Thanks for the feedback.

Guys will be guys. They ALL look at porn. If they say they don't, they are lying!! The fact that he is "hiding it" is probably because he thinks you will get upset with him. You just need to let him know that you know about it and that it is not a big deal. Just because he looks at it, does not mean he is or will cheat on you. I know that my husband looks at it, I found out on my own, but since I confronted him about it..he fesses up to still looking. He goes on travel too for weeks at a time, and I know he looks at it. I know he goes to strip clubs (so do I with friends) You just have to be open in your relationship...talk about it. It really is not a big deal. Hope I have helped.

Most men like porn, and a lot of women as well (myself included)

Your man isn't looking at porn because he doesn't love you, or you aren't 'enough' for him. Men are just visual creatures and like visual stimulation. He was probably looking at porn before he went overseas, as well. Odds are he thought it would offend you, and never mentioned it.

As for the fooling around and going to strip clubs.. There is a big difference between a strip club and cheating on your wife Again, its the visual thing.

Don't worry. Almost all men look at porn. The important thing is that he married *you*, not the bimbos in the pictures. Maybe when he gets back from overseas, you could try renting something together? It may help to change your outlook on it if you're enjoying it with him. Just a suggestion. Best of luck!

Hi,

You've already gotten really good comments - all of which I second. I just wanted to add that porn, in and of itself, isn't a problem. (Some people think it's inherently harmful. I don't believe that's true.) Theere would be a problme if someone was obsessive about the porn (or anything else, for that matter). As long as it's just something that compliments a healthy sex-life, I say sit back and enjoy. Or encourage him to enjoy it.

Did you ask him why he never thought to mention the subscription? Maybe he just really didn't think it was a big deal - just the way he felt like spending his discretionary income. Or maybe he sort of projected his own embarrasment about it onto you, so he assumed you would be uncomfortable with it and he avoided bringing it up. He certainly didn't go out of his way to hide it from you, so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Just let him know you saw the subscription, and you're really curious about what he likes. Ask him if there's anything good he wants to share with you! (Providing you're into that.)

Don't sweat it, just talk to him. ~ Lena

if it's in ur shared email account then i think ur hubby honestly believes he ain't doin anything wrong, otherwise he'd be hiding it from u! he knows you have access to the account so it's obviously harmless.
