Persistent nighttime erections 5x a night waking me up - also numbness
In the past year I have noticed that I've been woken up by a very hard erection that at times won't go down unless I stand up (or walk around). I've been to a urologist and he doesn't see any real issue and commented that if it was related to an artery that the risk outweighs the pain. In other words, he worries that I could lose function if I try to mess with this. It's a bit unbearable lately as it's waking me up 5 times a night and I believe I'm in a full hard on most of the night. Alcohol was making this better but that has even stopped working. I have seen others out there on boards that have this problbme but can't seem to find any recent posts with someone that I can message with on this issue. I'm unsure if this is a vascular issue, pelvic floor issue, or something that I can correct on my own. I also have hemmroids that started last week that may or may not be related to the problem getting worse. I find if I press on my perenium, I can get my penis to go down sometimes without having to get out of bed. Something tells me the never or circulation there is to blame.
The latest concern seems to be that my penis is somewhat numb (definately doesn't feel the same). I'm desperate for sleep and also hopeful that I am not doing long term damage. I'm prepareing to see another urologist but many say that most out there have no idea what to do with this. Any helpful advice is appreciated. I know that for those that have no nighttime erections this should be considered a blessing but I'm worried that if I don't correct this I may be heading there eventually.
