| Re: need help
I had never heard of hsv afflicting the hands, but you are right that it can. The infection can by passed to the hands from other parts of the body and in such cases it's called herpetic whitlow. I see that you can have a doctor prescribe acyclovir for it (an antiviral that may lessen symptoms).
If I were fighting an infection, I would quit consuming all rawer forms of dairy because they make it much more difficult to overcome infections (of any sort). I would also quit consuming anything else that contributes to mucus (like milk does).
If you're having trouble mitigating/controlling hsv sore outbreaks, I might recommend trying cranberry juice. It's not directly antiviral but it does minimize pathogenic yeast and bacteria, so the immune system can better focus on any viruses.
The metals, minerals and other constituents of cinnamon might help for boosting immune response (especially manganese [not magnesium]). Zinc is well known for boosting immune response too, so you might find some benefit from a small amount of it. (Metals accumulate and become toxic above very small levels, so it can be easy to overdo it--even with just cinnamon.)
