hymen

If a girls got a hymen how are you supposed to stick anything up there (fingers/penis)? Like I can see how, if they a have the hymen where the hymen is covering the outer edges of the vagina, but what if it's covering directly in the middle? If you push that it must have to tear and bleed...

Re: hymen

The hymen has a hole in the middle so that vaginal secretions and menstral flows can exit. During initial sexual activity, this hole is enlarged or broken open, though tampons or physical activity may have already done the job. Some hymens are tougher than others.

Re: hymen

Yes, if she still has her hymen, of course you will have to break through it. It may bleed a little and hurt, but thats normal. Although, lots of girls have already broken it, through different activities. For example, horseback riding can do it, certain sports can do it, etc. Also, if the girl uses tampons already, she has a good chance of it already being broken.

Re: hymen

If something is inserted that can either stretch or tear the hymen. If it's the penis that is inserted then the girl is no longer a virgin. The absense of the hymen or the fact that it is stretched or torn isn't, in and of itself, an indication that the girl isnt a virgin.

Re: hymen

Speaking of the hymen, I've been told that if it's the first time, it's a lot easier and less painful to break through the hymen if a guy uses his tongue to do it. Is this true?

I ask because I have this immense fear of pain in that region, I've had it for years now and umm... I'm 21 now. I'm so afraid of the pain, I don't even dare explore myself in that region. I guess I just want to know the best way to get through it, when I am finally ready to try it out with someone!! Would oral sex be less painful than other ways?

And whatever way it's done, if it hurts, is it better to just bear the pain and keep going - kind of like when a person gets a painful medical procedure done? Or should I just say stop!

I doubt that a hymen could be torn by oral sex. If you are that fearful of the pain you should discuss it with your gyno. If the pain is a concern you might want to discuss with the doctor having your hymen surgically opened under a local anesthetic which would make it virtually painless.

Hi sweets-
Okay, not to be gross, but i know that if i would have been told what to expect my first time, than it may not have been so horrible. Since i am not sure what can be posted on here, you can feel free to email me at [deleted]. Iam 20. I'll be 21 next month! I cant wait!

P.s. I dont think you can tear your hymen by oral sex. Plus, there is something else that will happen that someone mentioned in a earlier post, but cannot be written on here.

Well cya,
Marissa

Re: hymen

i heard you bleed a *lot* and it's very painful the first time...but couldn't i just put orajel or some kind of numbing agent in that area...? and could i just use a tampon afterward, or would i be bleeding *really* bad?
