last night my boyfriend and i had sex. i'm not on birth control, but we used a condom. i found out later that the condom slipped off and was inside of me until about an hour later. it's sunday, and i don't have any way to get ecp. can i still get it on monday or tuesday and be alright?? thanks

Monday should be fine if the failure occured Saturday night. Note that a woman is most fertile 14 days before her next period.

Actually that is not totally true. It varies from woman to woman and it can even vary from cycle to cycle.

There are ways to get EC over the weekends. You can call yoru doctor's office and explain to the answering service that you need tos peak to your doctor. They will forward the message on to him and he will either call you or call in a prescription for you at a local pharmacy. Also you can go to your local hospital and get it in the ER.

Emergency contraceptive pills work best if taken within 72 hours of the incident. You could wait til Tuesday, but I would recommend not waiting - get them Monday and take the first pill right away (it's actually a dose of 2 pills).
