Moral Issues over "Pornography"...

This may not apply to some teenagers because frankly they don't give a damn but some how if I jerk off to porn afterwards I feel very guilty, I don't know what it is.

Can someone tell me if they feel the same? For both boys and girls...

My theory is that porn is not good for viewing because my heart tells me there is something wrong about it, I can't quite put my finger on it but doesn't jerking off and looking at porn seem wrong?

I know some of the narrow minded among you will say "Gog gave us a ... so let's use it" and "porn stars want to share themselves" but is it really a question of that?

And yes I still look at porn although this is how I feel about it because frankly although I have periods of time where I stop, I just can't resist because without porn I can't jerk off because there is no sense of anticipation.

Re: Moral Issues over "Pornography"...

Hey bud, I've felt that same way and most of us do from time to time. Porn is degrading, particularly to women and it can really be habit forming. However, it does help us achieve desired results from masturbation and helps things seem real. Fantasy and masturbation go hand in hand, no pun intended. If something makes us feel guilty is it really worth doing? After a long time I was able to overcome the porn stuff and became able to masturbate to thoughts only. While I still feel guilty about this, like I said, fantasy does help with the situation. I'd encouarge you to leave the porn out of your masturbation habits and see how it goes. If you've got magazines, destroy them. If it is computer porn, then masturbate somewhere else OR see if you can somehow block those sites on your puter, this will slow down your access and maybe give you more time to think through it. You've already taken the first step, reaching out through this site and being honest with yourself and others about how this feels. Hang in there bud, keep in touch and just keep focusing on not grabbing porn everytime you want to masturbate. In time it will get easier, it did for me. And yes, you're probably going to hear from some folks who say it isn't a big deal, don't worry about it and all of that. But you do worry about it or you wouldn't have raised it here. Hang tough and be honest with yourself, you can overcome this and feel less guilt about your masturbation habits. Just remember, you're not alone in this, many of us have (do) feel just like you right now!

Well thanks man. But since all my friends do it and discuss it openly it gets that little bit harder, but yeah I'll give this whole stop it thing a go, i'll try my hardest.

But the real problem is that I don't actually get the urge to masterbate when I don't anticipate porn, and when I do get horny looking at something on T.V you kinda don't want to get an erection when your WHOLE FAMILY is sitting there.

Re: Moral Issues over "Pornography"...

Hey bud, those darn unwanted erections, we all get them and they happen at the worst time, particularly when you're with your family or someone who doesn't understand. Sounds like you've got part of this taken care of, if you really struggle with porn and masturbation only when you look at it...then part of this may be to avoid porn. Doesn't sound like a desire to masturbate leads to porn, if that is true, then it may be easy to overcome some of this. The real problem might be if you begin to depend on porn as part of your masturbation routine. Don't worry bud, masturbation is totally normal and part of life for us, particularly when we're in our teens and young adulthood.

Re: Moral Issues over "Pornography"...

From a chick's point of view:
Honestly, I used to get like, DEPRESSED after I mbated to porn. I would always wonder what was wrong with me and I felt like I had disappointed my parents or something (even though they didn't find out). Weird/bad feelings... But then I sat down one day and though about it and it really isn't bad. It's there for a reason (porn) so it's OK to use while mbating I think. If you get addicted, that's another story. I agree with Lance2, start slowly and you will eventually be able to wean yourself off it. If you don't though, don't feel bad. More people mbate to porn than they'd like to admit!
