Question How Soon Can I Get A Pregnancy Test?

I think I may be pregnant, I was supposed to get my period yesterday, but I missed, and I have not had any of the usual cramping that I have a week or so before my period. I have been having unprotected sex for a while now, not trying to prevent a possible pregnancy but not avoiding it either.

I was just wondering, how soon can I get a test done? I was planning on waiting until Saturday (giving my period time and waiting until my boyfriend gets payed) is this too soon? Also, there is no Planned Parenthood where I live, so I cant get a free test done, so if the test shows up positive when would be a good time to go to the doctor to get put on vitamins?

Any info would be GREATLY appreciated thanks!

I'm wondering.. did he ejaculate in you or just withdrawl?
And is your period always on time?
Remeber ..like what my g/f is... the period changed ALOT... sometimes it comes late and sometimes it doesn;t.. it's good to get it checked of course.. but it may just be late.. rememebr the first time of ejaculating in u is LOW... but the more and more you do it.. chances increase... rememebr to get on the patch..very cheap if in canada or u.s i dunno..but hell worth it.. it's like euva....take care

Re: How Soon Can I Get A Pregnancy Test?

Rwhc,is giving you totally false info. It doesnt matter if it is the first or the hunderdth time you have had unprotected sex you can get pregnant. The first time is not a free ticket or a lower chance. In high school I had three friends who beleived that and didnt use protection their first time. One had an abortion the other two have kids that they decided to keep.
As periods acting strange yes that can happen but since you mentione dyou are regular then the fact that you are already a day late then it would be ok to test anytime between now and whenever.
Unprotected sex there is reason to worry if you arent wanting to be pregnant or catch an std.
As for seeing your dr that shoudl be done as soon as you can. As for vitamins you should have already been on one with folic acid since you arent preventing a pregnancy. It is important that you take care of your body before the pregnancy to insure a healthy pregnancy and then a healthy baby.

Re: How Soon Can I Get A Pregnancy Test?

Blastoff is TOTALLY correct, it can be the first or the hundreth time you have sex, your chances are the same every time. Pregnancy makes no exceptions in that case! And furthermore, you DO need to worry if you are having unprotected sex. Why? You don't use ANYTHING? Then you may just be pregnant. You can see a Doc in your area who may be able to help you. Like Blastoff ALSO stated, folic acid should have been started a while ago. Hopefully you may still be able to have a healthy pregnancy if you act quickly.
