Me and my boyfriend of one and a half years have been engaging in a lot of sex. I lost my virginity to him after we had been together for 6 months. It seems something special that we both do enjoy, but then again sometimes i feel as though it might be taking over most of the relationship. do yall think too much sex can ruin a relationship? or possibly help the connection?

It can go either way, depending on the couple. In your case, you believe it is "taking over the relationship" but for other couples it can be the connection that brings them closer together. If you feel it is a problem, talk to your boyfriend about it.

It can and it makes it very difficult to separate sex from love. It might be good to cool it for a while to try to determine how you really feel about him. He may love you, or he may just want the regular sex. You need to find that out.

Young men generally have high sex drives and want all the sex they can get. This is not always good, especially if the sex gets in the way of the overall relationship. I mean, if your relationship remains based on sex, if you get married and have a kid and the sex has to stop (at least for a while, or at least greatly diminish in frequency), what else will you have? I suggest slowing things down and trying to spend some meaningful and productive time together to make sure he is the person who is right for you. Sex can be great, but that is a tiny part of a real, long term relationship.
