Bad Situation..

Well first thank you for opening my thread and reading, I'll try to be clear and brief. About last April was the last time my girlfriend, 15, got her period. We've had unprotected sex for the last year and shes been late a few times. Well when she was over 3 weeks late we started testing. We took a few home tests 2 said she was preg at one time then a few more said she wasnt. A week later she went to Planned Parenthood and got a test there (Still a urine test) and it said she wasnt. Its been another month+ and she still hasnt gotten her period. Heres the weird part. Shes had about 3-5 differnt times where's shes gotta it for 1 day..A one day period comes and goes basically. It just happend again, this is about the 4th time or so. We're not sure if thats what spotting is, so maybe she is preg. We havent tested in about a month, So we are going to tomorrow. But i want a solid proof way, How can i get a blood test? We cant use insurance, will a hospital still do it free? Planned Parenthood do blood test free? Shes 15, wont a hospital just draw some blood and run a quick test so we know for free? They cant deny medical care, That's illegal isnt it? Its been like 3/4 months now, I dont know what to do. Can you be preg. for 3-4 months and all these urine tests say your not then all of a sudden, BANG, your 4/5 months preg? Please some help, im going crazy. I'm too young for this, i have college and just so much going on. I wanna save our relationship, thats going down the tube too, i think because of this. How can i make sure shes DEFINATLY not? PLEASE, ANY HELP! Thanks

Re: Bad Situation..

why would you take that chance? are you prepared to be a parent?
well you can't cry over spilt milk, lets hope and pray that she's not pregnant, but you ask how can you make sure she's not? In the future use protection, every time!
Good luck!

Re: Bad Situation..

First of all, she's a minor and not many are going to test or treat her w/o parental consent. You can get a blood test at planned parenthood, you just have to ask. Hospitals are only required to treat you if it's an emergency, they can and will turn you away for routine stuff like this.

Next, IMO you are far too young to be doing this. You need to use your brain and use protection. You can get birth control pills or the shot which lasts for 3 months at planned parenthood.

You do not sound old enough or mature enough to be raising babies. Trust me, I've been there, had my first at 17 and went to a special school for moms to be and some of the girls were only 11!!!!!!! I don't know how they cope....some just don't.

Just out of curiosity...if you definitely don't want babies, why aren't you guys using protection?

Re: Bad Situation..

Angel - I'm pretty sure that she can get pregnancy care/birth control without parental consent........unless something has changed (I know the Bush administration was trying to take away that right)
she should go back to planned parenthood and ask for a blood test.

Re: Bad Situation..

We got both the urine test and blood test done today at Planned Parenthood for free since she is under 17. Results will be avilable Sat.

I was also mistaken on when she got her last period, It was 6/15/06

The urine test today was negitive. Also, We have not used protection because of my ignorance. We will in the future, If there is a future. This situation has torn our relationship apart and that is killing me because i am in love with this girl. Its a shame. Well, Thanks for the help everyone. I hope i can save my relationship now, I love her. Thank You
