bleeding after sex... normal?

This is only the second time i've had sex, but i didn't bleed the first time.
I'm wondering if I should be worried.
It is light bleeding currently, but I'm expecting my period soon, so it could be that, too.
I usually get my period the 19th of each month (today is the 17th).
Could having sex make your period come sooner?
Or would getting my period 2 days earlier than usual be normal?

Any ideas/answers would be great.
Thanks!

Re: bleeding after sex... normal?

If you didn't bleed the first time you had sex, it's most likely that your partner did not break your hymen. Maybe this time your partner did break your hymen, which caused you to bleed. This is completely normal, but if it continues to bleed after sex more often, I suggest you see your doctor.

Good Luck!

It is extremely unlikely that this is the case. If you were able to have full, normal intercourse the first time, your hymen is no longer a barrier.

There are many things that can cause bleeding and it is possible that your period has just come 'early' (although if you say it comes every 19th, then you actually have a longer cycle than average and maybe this is just going to be a 'normal' cycle).
