Firstly, are you saying that the friend is the same person who you might have sex with? And if so they are giving you their preferences in advance? Strange. One of the most exciting things about sex is not knowing what is contained within those clothes!
If not the same person, how do you know that she wont be a bit freaked by it?
But, if you want to, there are various things you can do:
1. do nothing, explain that you like it this way
2. trim, use a beard trimmer or scissors to trim to whatever you feel like
3. shave just part, eg your scrotum
4. shave the lot
If you shave, there are many techniques that are often described on here so maybe just do a search. Shaving the pubic hair above the penis can often leave irritation which a few days later looks all red and unpleasant so maybe trimming is the best way.
I have no idea what a rake or pomades is, so I cannot comment.
