wet dreams and embarassing situations - Sexual Health - Teens Message Board

let me just start by saying this is the first time i ever talked to anyone about these couple issues, and im really embarassed by having wet dreams. should i be?

there are a few times in some classes when i am sitting down looking at my work and all of a sudden i get an erection, but i dont know why! i dont look at the other girls in my class, nothing to triger it but it just happens and im too afraid to stand up and ask to leave the class because then everyone will see the bludge in my pants...its really something i dont want people to see.

another problem i have is wet dreams, it happens about every 2 weeks and infact i just had one waking up just then which trigered me to look it up on google how to stop it.

i dont know if it is ok for someone my age to be masterbating, but i just end up doing it sometimes and i havent for 2 weeks now so maybe thats whats causing my wet dreams, idk...
is it bad for someone my age to be masterbating? (im 16) and do you think my parents know when it's happening? i dont think they know but i could be wrong.

i started taking venlafaxine this monday past for anxiety/depression/add. would this drug cause me to experience anything different with erections and wet dreams? its only a low dose (37.5mg) so idk if it is a big deal...

i also have a problem with acne, i keep forgetting about putting the facial cream on each night and sometimes i leave it for 2 or 3 days and it's broken out again, will sexual thoughts and actions cause my acne to increase and what can i do alternative to slow down acne... my anxiety causes me to forget things like to put on acne cream and most nights/mornings i dont have the courage to.

id like to end by saying this is the first time i added everything in together that i didnt like talking about. i hope you guys will help me better understand what i can do about these embarassing situations.

Hi Mike,
Masturbation is perfectly normal. You are having wet dreams, because you are not masturbating. If you are having wet dreams, your parents know you are becoming a man, unless it is you changing the sheets. Masturbation has nothing to do with acne. It is a simple, relaxing self test, to see that your reproductive system is in order. If other people get upset about it, because of religious reasons, it is best to keep it to yourself. Regardless of religion, I don't know of anyone who doesn't do it.
The erections in school and at unexpected times, are nature's way of telling you that you are ready to carry on the human race. Nothing could be more normal. Think of it as reassurance, that your body is working as it should.
