Hi everyone!!
I know it's common to get whitish stuff on the lining of your underwear, but I also heard that if you get a yeast infection you can tell because you get a lot of discharge in your underwear. My question is how can you tell the difference from your everyday discharge and if you have a yeast infection? What even is the whitish discharge? I'm not sexually active and I was wondering if that has something to do with the amount of discharge I get... Do ppl that are sexually active get less? Thnx!

Yeast infections can vary. The most common signs are a smell like bread baking, a cottage cheese looking discharge,and itching. But those are the common signs are not always showing when you have one. But those are the ones to look in most cases.
If there is a funny smell with any discharge then it should be checked.
It doesnt matter if you are sexually active or not women have throughout their cycle discharge that is normal. It is just the body's way of cleaning itself and to show when you are most fertile and when you arent.

That is an interesting question. It varies some women will have no smell whatsoever while others will have a clean musky scent to this discharge. So it all depends on the person. As long as it doesnt smell bad or like bread baking then it should be fine.

If there is an unbalance in the level of bacteria in your vagina, your discharge might change. Farmacists stock captules of helpful bacteria that you insert into the vagina to help it re-balance. Might be helpful.
