Cluelessblonde,

There are many wonderful reasons why you should not be having sex as a young teenager. However, sex in and of itself does not cause infertility. However, an STD might cause infertility.

There are two big reasons why sex at your age is a bad idea.

First, NATURE WANTS YOU PREGNANT. From your first period (or two weeks before it) and on, NATURE WANTS YOU PREGNANT. Yes, YOU! Not just a general "you," but YOU you. And Nature will try every sneaky, conniving trick in the book to try to get you pregnant. The first trick that Nature pulls is to make you want to have sex. Thwart that by not having sex, and every other trick nature pulls (making guys complain about having to use a condom, making you forget to take your birth control pill, etc.) can't work.

Second: STD'S WANT TO INFECT YOU. And believe me, there is no way other than abstinence to keep that from happening. Using a latex condom every single time can help to reduce your risk, but those STD's are sneakier even than Nature's pregnancy tricks and they can get around any barrier if you give them enough of a chance.

But to get back to your original question, having sex at a young age in and of itself will not lead to infertility. However, contracting certain STD's at an early age might lead to infertility.

As for this quote - it's a teens board- They should be allowed to come here and ask questions with out fear of being lectured on their choices. That's what a teens board is for.

Having said that, First off - Everything Mad Scientist above said isn't wrong.
However, nature and STD's don't have a logical thinking mind that is plotting every moment to come get you.
From the time of your first menstration, your body is preparing for a baby each month. That's the purpose of the female organs - to produce babies. However- with a bit of precaution you can prevent that until you're ready. (No matter what mad scientist says, nature won't sneak up on you from behind while you're asleep and BAM! you're pregnant. Won't happen. They call that Immaculate Conception -and I think it's only happened once.)
As for STD's they only have one purpose - to make you uncomfortable and cause itchy pain. But with a little precaution and discretion in parter choosing (and safe sex practices) you should be able to avoid all these pit falls. And have a good healthy sex life.
As for having sex when you're young- no matter what anyone says - it won't cause you to be unable to have babies in the future.

Sex at a young age in itself will not cause infertility but as already mentioned STD's might. The main thing with sex at a young age and for that matter at any age is that you always have to discuss with your partner what the two of you would do should an accidental pregnancy occur. No birth control is 100% so if you are not able to discuss what you would both do if an accidental pregancy occured then you shouldn't be having sex.

It wo't stop you having babies when your older, unless you catch an STD or something like that. Always use protection-that means a condom and possibly another form of birth control.
