Before, I was always afraid of how much tampons hurt cuz I never really inserted them in right. So I stuck with pads for sooo long. But now i want to permanently switch to tampons because i know they feel much better and are less of a hassle. The thing is... well i still dont know if i'm inserting them in right. I read the little manual thing in the tampon box, but it didnt really help. And im sure ive been relaxed while i try too. So i think im just not getting it far enough in, or what else could it be? Cuz dont you have to get the applicator all the way in there, then push the tampon in? well i dont know how im gonna do that without it hurting. I just need some helpful tips or hints or any suggestions. I think i also just need to be brave and stick it in there, but yeah, im terrified of pain. Any help from anyone?? please?
Are you using the ones with the plastic applicator? They go in much easier. You may have to change body positions - try sitting down, if that doesn't work try standing up. It's almost like you have to point it at the small of your back to get the correct angle.
If you are anticipating pain, then you're gonna feel it cause you are tensing up. Honestly the key to getting tampons in is just to relax. Just take a deep breath and slide it in. I've heard people sometimes use lube to help get it in there. Also, I think it's easier to start out by using the SlimFits by Playtex cause they're really small. And then before you know it, you'll be getting them in there without even thinking about it! Good Luck!
Thanks... could someone explain what angle i should insert it in. LIke i know towards the small of your back... but like could someone give me more details. Cuz at times, there is this "spot" that reeeeally hurts if i push that way. Also... what do you do if you have to go to the bathroom?? take it out everytime and put a new one in? Gosh i feel so dumb cuz i dont know anything. but you guys dont know me so whooh =) And I guess the plastic applicators wont hurt as much cuz im using the little cardboard kind.
